Adolf Hitler originally decided to be a painter and believed that he had the talents to be one. Hitler pursued that by moving to Vienna with the support of his mother to study art. Hitler the painter was not to be a realistic proposition as he was rejected from the art schools 2 times.
As the situation worsened for him when his mother died in 1907. He struggled for many years there living in dormitorys and hostels. He made a menial living by doing paintings and odd jobs. He did not want to do hard labour as he not physically fit for that position.
Hitler the painter was a dream that became harder to achieve and his resentment for Jews began. He believed that it was them that rejected his from the academy.
